(Corny cliche that I despise...even if it is true)

Remember that youtube video from a couple of posts ago? Lately, I've been part of a few underdog teams, that played 'balls to the wall' and accomplished the upset. Tonight was particularly sweet as we knocked off the 9th ranked team who was favored to beat us (ranked 16th) .

This gets me to the point of my post, the thing I like most about team sports...and this will sound corny, is that success is sweeter when you have people to share it with. The captain of my team, thinks he's having an awful season (he's not, he's harder on himself than I am). Watching his eyes light up when he caught the last point was special. We've already beat our seat, won a Spirit prize, and developped tremendously this season. I've got to the point with this crazy sport, where one win or loss means nothing, but watching his face as he scored the winning point...was the high-light of my sporting summer.

Whatever happens this weekend, our team is already winners. It's time to kick back and have fun :)
